The aim of ‘Outreach’ is to ensure that the pupils’ education continues beyond the classroom and that they are prepared to take their place in the world by experiencing it in a way that demands generosity, principle, resolution, courage and kindness.
Sixth Form Outreach Programme
Our Lower Sixth students are involved in a Primary Outreach Programme, visiting local primary schools on a Wednesday afternoon, supporting young children in a wide variety of activities.
Outreach is designed to enable pupils to:
- develop a sense of responsibility and compassion for those of different backgrounds and values
- appreciate their own strengths and weaknesses and, in so doing, develop their self esteem
- be considerate, tolerant and respectful of others as they strive to establish new relationships within and outside the School community
Primary Outreach Programme
Our Primary Outreach programme involves organising and running great events at Henry’s for local primary schools including:
- Tag Rugby Festival
- Primary Hockey Day
- Choir and Orchestra Day
- Primary Olympics
- Primary Swimming
All of these events involve our pupils supporting either in mentoring, teaching or coaching roles.
