Headmaster’s Welcome
In this section
Welcome to King Henry VIII School, a leading, co-educational independent school in the West Midlands that serves the needs of over 1,300 pupils.
The Senior School educates children aged 11 to 18 and was established in 1545 by Royal Charter. We provide the educational support and guidance that allows all of our pupils to achieve a greater level of performance than that which they might achieve elsewhere.
We have a strong history of academic success, pastoral care and outstanding co-curricular activities that retains the best of a traditional grammar school ethos, with a forward-thinking approach to an all-round education. The School is friendly, purposeful and full of talented staff who take the time to get to know children as individuals. Our community thrives on a foundation of mutual respect and honesty.
We are very proud of our success in equipping pupils for life in a diverse and changing society and offering pupils a variety of challenging opportunities for learning, development and growth.
I hope that you will find all the information you need within this website. I hope that it will encourage you to pay us a visit in person at one of our Open Mornings, Open Houses or for a personal meeting with me and a tour of the school with a pupil.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any further help.
