EXTRA-CURRICULAR

ADMISSIONS

BKHS King Henry VIII Preparatory

BKHS King Henry VIII Prep is the feeder school for BKHS King Henry VIII Senior. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding learning opportunities for all children.  Well-qualified, dedicated and experienced teaching staff deliver a vibrant, diverse and challenging curriculum, which is supplemented with a wide range of co-curricular opportunities, from Music and Drama through to Sport and Outdoor Education.

HEADTEACHER’S WELCOME

I entered the teaching profession because I loved the vitality, curiosity and innocent approach to life that children have.  I could think of no better vocation for helping them to discover and achieve their dreams.  Twenty-eight years later, as a Head, this has not changed.  I am proud of our pupils who grow and excel academically, physically, emotionally and socially, guided by a team of talented and inspirational staff.

Our teachers create a caring, supportive environment in which our pupils develop as independent and resilient learners, confident and secure enough to try and bounce back, if success is not immediate.  Children flourish when supported in a community, which knows them well as individuals, leading to a lifelong relationship built with them and their families.

The best way to experience this for yourselves is to come and visit us, either by appointment or at one of our Open events held throughout the year.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school.

Miss Caroline Soan,
Headteacher
