Worcester Warriors Dream
Worcester Warriors dream starts for Tom as his Professional Rugby journey begins.
It has always been Tom’s dream to become a professional rugby player since a very early age. Having come all the way through the school from Prep to Senior Tom’s dedication, hard work and efforts has seen him achieve his ultimate goal of signing a Professional rugby contract with Worcester Warriors, having been with the club since U12.
Lock down and the COVID pandemic has really hit rugby hard, but Tom has still stayed on top of his training with support from Mr Pickering and his fellow peers. He has been involved in the England U18 programme where he has been able to continue to perform at the elite level of the game.
Director of Sport Mr Fitt remembers working with Tom before he himself arrived at KHVIII in his current role, “Tom has always been an incredibly hard-working player and pupil. He is so coachable and analytical with his performances. Having played 1st XV rugby since Yr11, it has been really frustrating for Tom not to be able to lead the school’s team in his final year.”
Finally, Mr Fitt concluded “the school are immensely proud of Tom’s achievements. He has been a model pupil for us and one that his family can be very proud of. We are really excited to see Tom on the TV in the future and the KHVIII family will be the first to support him.”
