Old Coventrians’ Association Celebrates a Successful 102nd Annual Dinner

The Old Coventrians’ Association welcomed 110 guests back to Henry’s on Saturday 15 November for its 102nd Annual Dinner. This was a well-attended celebration of community, connection and the school’s evolving history.
The afternoon began with a guided school tour followed by a pop-up choir performance, creating a welcoming atmosphere ahead of the evening’s main event. This year’s dinner brought together one of the widest age ranges in recent memory, with alumni spanning multiple decades. The guest list also reflected the school’s increasingly diverse community, including a notable rise in recent leavers and women – a timely development in the 50th anniversary year of King Henry’s becoming coeducational.
A particular highlight was the attendance of members of the first cohort of girls admitted in 1975, who returned in impressive numbers to mark the milestone together.
During dinner, OCA Chair Katie Chung hosted a Q&A panel featuring former Head Girls representing five decades, joined by the current Heads of School. Panellists shared thoughtful reflections on their time at King Henry’s and offered insight into how school life has evolved since girls first joined nearly half a century ago.
The “50 for 50” exhibition, which continues to grow as part of the anniversary celebrations, was also on display and attracted strong interest throughout the evening. Alumni interested in contributing their own profile are encouraged to email: alumni@csfoundation.org.uk.
Guests enjoyed a three-course meal with wine, tea and coffee, adding to what many described as a memorable evening. Warm conversations, shared stories and plenty of laughter helped make the event a standout moment in the OCA calendar.
The Association has already confirmed that the 103rd Annual Dinner will take place on Saturday 14 November 2026, with hopes of welcoming an even larger gathering.
