King Henry’s Alumni Make Their Mark at Godiva Festival

Dan Andrews, Charlie Atkinson, Milan Bodali-Bosson, and Conor Winters – all Class of 2016 alumni from King Henry VIII School took to the main stage at the Godiva Festival last month with their band The Royals, delivering a standout performance to a packed crowd.

Having first played together during school concerts from Year 7 at King Henry’s, the four musicians have come a long way. Their set at one of Coventry’s premier music festivals showcased not only their talent but also their development as performers, demonstrating solid musicianship, confident stage presence and clear rapport with the audience.

Following the release of their debut EP in May 2025, The Royals are now preparing for a UK tour this October — a significant step forward for a band whose roots trace back to the school’s music rooms.

Their success marks a proud moment for the King Henry VIII School community and a testament to where early passion and dedication can lead.
