Celebrating Strong GCSE Results

We are delighted to celebrate a strong set of GCSE results at King Henry VIII School, with our Year 11 pupils achieving impressive outcomes across a broad range of subjects.

This year, 64% of all grades were awarded at 9-7, while 45% were achieved at grades 9-8. An outstanding 97% of all grades were awarded at 9-4. Across our cohort of 81 students, there were 322 grades awarded at 9-7, including 164 grade 9s and 158 grade 8s.

Individual achievements were equally impressive. Laura-May secured an incredible ten grade 9s, Yuvraj and Leann each secured nine grade 9s and all will continue their studies in the King Henry VIII Sixth Form.

A further three students, Myah, Marta and Drishika, achieved eight or more grades at 9-8, reflecting the hard work, commitment and determination shown across the year group.

Today we recognise the hard work, resilience and determination shown by our pupils throughout their GCSE studies, supported every step of the way by their parents and our dedicated staff.”

I appreciate the level of hard work and support that has gone into achieving these results and would like to congratulate each of our students on their achievements.

I look forward to welcoming many of our students back into one of our Sixth Form centres in the new term, where our provision will continue to be driven by excellent teaching and learning, intellectual ambition and distinctive opportunities that allow them to develop as successful adults.”

As our students celebrate their achievements, many will now look ahead to continuing their educational journey in the King Henry VIII Sixth Form, building on the strong foundations established during their GCSE studies. We are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished and look forward to supporting them in the next stage of their education.
