Welcome to the Admissions Exams and Assessment page. Entry to King Henry’s at the different entry points is via assessment. An overview of the testing is below, and sample papers can be downloaded below.
In September 2021, Bablake and King Henry VIII School will merge to bring together best practice and facilities from each school, offering a first-class independent education for 3 to 18 year olds. We will maintain our commitment to providing an excellent education, outstanding co-curricular provision, and thoughtful, individual support alongside improved facilities and increased collaboration across age groups.

Admissions Schedule for Entry for September 2021 (NEW DATES)
Applications are now closed for entry Year 7, September 2021.
Tuesday 5th January 2021 – Entrance Examination Day for candidates.
Update: Following further discussions with Public Health England and Coventry Local Education Authority over the weekend, we have decided to postpone the Entrance Examination scheduled for Tuesday 5th January 2021. Please see letter sent to all applicants on Monday 4th January 2021.
Friday 22nd January 2021 – Short-listed scholarship applicants will then be invited into school.
Friday 5th February 2021 – Offer letters sent out.
Monday 1st March 2021 – Acceptance Deadline.
